Grief Cafe
Sunday, September 21st
2 - 5 pm,
location given with RSVP
Please join us as we set aside time to navigate and honor our grief.
This is a space to practice what it is like to seek out and create community when we feel overwhelmed, instead of shutting down or isolating. It is a space to practice finding joy alongside grief, trust alongside sorrow. This space is for those who carry the weight of witnessing, supporting, and showing up with resilience for the liberation of all people, for those navigating grief and loss, and for those needing a space of compassionate listening.
Our facilitators include white folx and folx of the global majority, and have different backgrounds that shape their approaches; some of those backgrounds are: licensed counselor, full-spectrum doula, medical worker, transformative justice organizer, grieving family member, somatic practitioners, death doula, etc.
This intimate gathering will consist of mindful breathing and grounding techniques, guided large and small group discussions, with an optional community potluck to follow.
Covid precautions: air filters in the space, KN95 masks available and encouraged
This event is free to the community, with donations appreciated, but not expected.
Please RSVP by Friday, September 19th to nikicrumplpc@gmail.com

To learn more about our intention behind third space gatherings, read the blog!
In a society that often seeks to divide and conquer, third spaces become radical acts of defiance. They are where we gather to dream, to create, and to heal together. They are spaces where we can sow the seeds of a more just, compassionate, and collective future.
