About Sweet Rain Healing

Vision Statement:

Our vision is a world where justice and human rights flourish universally; a sanctuary of collective care, fostering solidarity against oppression and uniting a global community until freedom is the birthright of every soul.

In our pursuit of justice, we see a woven tapestry of compassion, empowerment, and resilience. Sweet Rain Healing envisions a future where the healing power of collective care and liberation reverberates globally, fostering a world where the sweet rains of justice and equality touch every corner of our shared humanity.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to be a catalyst for transformative change, grounded in unwavering commitment to social justice, decolonization, anti-racism, and liberation.

Our journey involves resistance against colonial powers and capitalism through the transformative practices of yoga, healing, rest, and creativity. We denounce racism, hate, and oppression in all their forms.

Sweet Rain Healing is dedicated to cultivating a vibrant and diverse community, where all can feel heard and represented. Our commitment to yoga, spirituality, and energetic healing means that our classes/workshops/etc. are anti-racist, trauma-informed, accessible offerings that honor, not appropriate, these sacred practices.

We hope to share our work with our community near and far, remembering that it only takes one drop to create many ripples of change.

Meet our Founder

I’m Dawnbee (she/they), and I proudly identify as a biracial, queer being. I’m a Yoga guide, Reiki healer, creative alchemist, abortion doula, and liberation facilitator who weaves authenticity into every aspect of my work.

I founded Sweet Rain Healing because I struggled to find wellness spaces where I felt safe, welcomed, and seen. (If you’re curious, my name in Korean actually translates to sweet rain or “rain that comes at just the right moment”).

My work is deeply rooted in my values of radical community care, anti-racism, and social justice. I strongly believe in the profound importance of movement, breathwork, ritual, creativity and energetic medicine in our daily lives. With a commitment to decolonized and inclusive practices, I strive to make healing modalities accessible and equitable for all, centering the belief that healing is both a personal journey and a collective act of resistance.

My training background includes two yoga teacher trainings, one based on an anti-racist framework, as well as two Reiki trainings, one through an anti-racist framework and the second being a decolonized Reiki training. I’ve also completed an intensive abortion doula training led by a BIPOC organization.

In all that I do, I hope to hold space for transformation, inviting my community to connect with themselves, each other, and humanity in meaningful, restorative, and liberatory ways.

Testimonials

“I love Dawnbee’s classes and appreciate how she gets juicy/deep on the spiritual as well as the physical. I always am so grateful for how much thought she puts into themes, readings, and being receptive to her students. I think she is amazing, as always.”

— Teresa P.

“I know how truly special it is when I”m able to set the time out of my day to enjoy a restorative yoga experience with Dawnbee. I always feel like she puts such care into planning each flow so thoughtfully. The vulnerability and openness she shares reminds me to be more gentle and kind to myself. I am genuinely honored and thankful to be a part of it, and continue to feel encouraged by her after every unique class together.”
